Erasmus+ grants
Erasmus + Grants are categorized according to the length of the exchange and the living expenses in the host country. For a full month (eg. 15.9. - 14.10.) a student receives a payment of either Cat 1 or Cat 2 euro per month, depending on the category. For the exceeding days a student receives a daily grant accordint to the Cat1 and Cat 2 daily amounts.
Students with underaged children will get an extra grant of 200 euro per month.
Academic year 2020-2021 and 2021-2022
Category 1:
470 euro per month and for the exceeding days 15,66 euros per day in the following countries:
Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom.
Category 2:
420 euro per month and for the exceeding days 14 euros per day in the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey.
Switzerland does not participate in the Erasmus programme, but students going there on exchange will receive an equal grant from the Swiss goverment. This will be paid by the receiving institution.
Grants for destinations outside Europe
Partner universities, ISEP programme and International to International ISEP programme:
1500 eur (USA, Canada, Asia, Australia, Latin America, Russia)
Travel grants for north2north programme:
Canada and USA 2000 eur
Nordic countries 1500 eur
Other grants
Travel grants for other exchange programmes vary according to programme. Please note that free mover exchanges (including Asia Exchange and other exchanges with non-partner universities) do not get grants from the University of Oulu.
