The collections and services of Oulu University Library are generally available for use by everyone.
Library users are required to have a library card.
It is advisable to inform the library immediately of a lost library card.
Upon accepting the card the library user agrees to comply with the Borrowing Rules and Rules of Use of the Library.
The customer can update their changed contact information by logging in to Oula-Finna. Personal details can be found from Profile -section.
The contact information of University of Oulu and Oamk staff are updated in the library’s user register directly from the human resources information systems of the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
University of Oulu and Oamk students can dowload Tuudo application for free from Google Play or App Store. Sign in with your university or Oamk account.
You don't need to visit the library to get the Tuudo library card and you can use it immediately! In Tuudo you can also renew your loans and follow up with your placed requests. See Library in the Tuudo menu bar.
Note! Staff members can also connect an existing library card to Tuudo.

Borrowed items have to be returned or renewed by the due date. The items can be returned to any of the library units. However, we recommend returning items to the unit housing the collection to which it belongs.
A due date reminder will be sent 3 days before the due date and on the due date. The day after the due date, an overdue notice will be sent by email.
If a book is not returned, the library charges fines on all overdue items. Fines will be collected on the basis of the Act on Criteria for Charges Payable to the State 150/1992 , the Decree on Criteria for Charges Payable to the State 211/1992 and the Ministry of Education Decree on Criteria for Charges Payable to Universities 737/2007.
